Same model, three times the price — why?

Two buildings with the same external dimensions can cost radically different amounts, depending on how they are designed for 3D printing. For example, for the same 36 × 21 × 18 cm envelope:

ModelPrintingInfillCost incl. VAT
Simple10 h10 %~€525
Complex30 h30 %~€1,660

Extreme scenarios: minimum vs maximum

Minimum (~€381): optimised model, hollow walls, considered orientation, minimal supports, simple post-processing. Maximum (~€1,900): massive or solid volumes, overhanging areas, fine details, numerous awkward supports, over 40 h of work.

What really makes the price vary

The cost depends mainly on the internal volume and the complexity, not on the external size.

  • Details that are too fine (under 1 mm), which slow the printing down
  • Poorly considered orientation: overhangs and supports
  • Unsuitable wall thicknesses: wasted material or a fragile model

Why we don't quote without a file

We analyse your 3D file free of charge, give you feedback on feasibility and optimisations, and adapt it if needed. Without a usable model, any estimate would be arbitrary.

In summary

A well-thought-out project means a controlled cost: anticipating the modelling parameters lowers the cost, speeds up production and improves the result — at no extra charge. Send us your file.
